I have wanted to start blogging for a long time. But, never did it because I didn't have the time; wasn't sure I was comfortable sharing anything with a public audience; and really, what do I have to say that's interesting. What I've realized is that it doesnt have to be interesting. And, it doesn't have to be wel-writtin.
So, why did I start today?
I was reading a blog post this morning by one of the few bloggers I read regularly. Seth Godin's post was about his upcoming "Icarus Sessions" which he described as "a challenging new way to bring your art forward," and share it with everyone else attending the session, sharing their art. It sounds like a cool idea, but then I quickly acknowledged that I don't have any "art" to share.
I want to share art, too.
As a new mom of a 6-week old and on maternity leave, I don't think creating artwork is in my near future. But I do think that blogging is one way that I can be creative; thoughtful; and will be a few lovely minutes everyday that does not involve poopy diapers, nursing my wonderful baby Jack, or cursing the dishwasher for being full and clean :)
So I will share just a few thoughts...here it goes.
